This explains what information Brandon Feco Productions collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
Who we are
Brandon Feco Productions is a wedding and event film company based in Westlake Village, California, serving Ventura County, Santa Barbara County and the wider California coast. You can reach us at brandon@brandonfeco.com.
What we collect
When you enquire
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, wedding or event date, and venue. We collect this so we can answer you and quote accurately. The form does not store anything on this website: it opens a message in your own email program, addressed to us, which you send yourself. We do not buy contact lists and we do not sell yours.
When you visit the site
This site runs no analytics and sets no tracking of its own. Cloudflare, which serves the site, keeps standard server logs including your IP address and which pages were requested. That is used to keep the site running, not to identify you.
When we film your day
This is the part specific to what we do, and it deserves plain language.
Filming a wedding means recording video and audio of you, your wedding party, your family and your guests — including speeches, vows and conversation picked up by microphones during the day. Many of those people never signed anything with us. We treat that footage as sensitive, and we handle it accordingly.
How footage is used
Your footage is used to produce the films you commissioned. Beyond that, our client agreement includes a model release permitting us to use footage in our portfolio, on social media, on this website and in advertising.
You can withdraw that permission. If you would rather your wedding did not appear publicly, email us and we will not use it in any promotional context. If it is already published, we will remove it from anything we control, usually within seven days. Material already shared or downloaded by others cannot always be recalled, and we will be honest with you about that.
If a guest at your wedding wants their image removed from something we have published, they can contact us directly and we will handle it.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of services to run the business. Each sees only what it needs:
- Cloudflare — serves this website
- Google Workspace — our email
- ImprovMX — forwards mail sent to our domain
- Cal.com — only if you book a call through the link on our contact page
- Google Fonts — loads the typefaces this site is set in
- YouTube — hosts films embedded on this site. A film does not load or track anything until you press play
- Your wedding planner or venue — only where you have asked us to coordinate with them
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or tracking cookies. If you press play on an embedded film, YouTube may set its own cookies at that point, and only then. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and this site will still work.
How long we keep things
Enquiries are kept for up to two years, so we still have context if you come back to us.
Finished films are archived indefinitely, because couples regularly ask for another copy years later. Say the word and we will delete yours.
Raw footage is kept for at least twelve months after delivery, then may be deleted to free storage. If you want your raw files, ask early rather than late.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email brandon@brandonfeco.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing for you to opt out of.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website. Children are of course filmed at weddings; that footage is covered by the agreement with the couple who booked us, and a parent or guardian can ask us to remove a child from anything we have published.
Keeping it safe
Footage is stored on encrypted drives and backed up. Accounts use two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if anything affecting your information goes wrong.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where it affects you directly, tell you.
